The Intelligent Bypass, when enabled, can transfer the motor across the line when the application requires 60Hz. Most HVAC systems require 60Hz at peak demand (Summer months ? daytime), which will utilize the intelligent bypass function. Removing the drive at 60 Hz saves energy and removes harmonics at worse case conditions.
